    I spent four nights in Edinburgh, Scotland at The Salisbury. This was a very nice B&B that had the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. I was in Edinburgh at the same time as all of the festivals so the city was very busy.

Description : This building is called The Hub and is home to the Edinburgh Festival Ticket and Information Center. The spire makes this the tallest building in Edinburgh. This used to be the Church of Scotland's Tolbooth St John's Church, built 1842-1844.

Description : This is a real, operational cannon at the castle. Traditionally, this was used to mark the time. It would fire at 1:00 everyday. This allowed ships in the area to correct their local clocks.

Home of the Honours of Scotland  Sm    Med  
Description : This building within Edinburgh Castle is the home to the Honours of Scotland, also known as the crown jewels of Scotland. They were hidden here in 1707 and were forgotten for over 100 years. In 1819, they were found by Walter Scott and put on display.
