| Description : | Chiesa del Gesu. This is the outside of the Gesu Church, the headquarters of the Jesuits. Ignatius repeatedly tried to have this church built, but was never successful. It wasn't until 1568, 12 years after his death, that work was finally begun. The church was finally consecrated in 1584. |
